Welcome, 2009!
It has been quite a while since I last posted. Been very busy. No, make that just plain lazy. Lolz. Well, I've been doing so much travelling to Sydney visiting someone special. And lots of driving. I must have driven more than a thousand kms just for the Christmas season - Kiama, Sydney, Canberra and Newcastle. Whew. And buying presents. And opening gifts. And sleeping. And playing PSP. Watching Heroes. And going to the beach. I'm so dark already. Sigh.
I haven't even written my traditional New Year's Resolutions which I usually do every year. I have most of them in my head anyway: sleep early, write more, less psp, less rice, go on diet, walk more, no more softdrinks, less coffee, save more, finish thesis, etc. Whew. Life's tough.
But wait, this entry is going no where. Not exactly a good way to begin the year. Oh well.
Anyway, here's my first entry for the year. It's not much, but it's a good start. While I'm at it, I might as well mention that 2008 has not been bad at all. In fact, in many ways, this has been one of the best (or maybe the best) years in my thirty-one years of existence. I have a long list of things to be thankful for for 2008. God has been so good. He is always good, anyway. All the time.
And 2009, despite the global financial crises, I believe in faith will even be better than last year. Optimism is always good. And it's free. So is dreaming. And I have lots of that for this year. Although it is better to call them goals. That way, they seem doable. Like, finishing my thesis and graduating, and applying for permanent residency, and getting a job. And more important ones, like learning ball room dancing, and buying a PS3, buying new tires for my car.... May all of us have a happy, and prosperous, and memorable 2009!
